Huntington’s Disease [HD] is an inherited, degenerative brain disorder with no known cure. It is recognized today as one of the more common genetic diseases. HD is a disease that slowly destroys both the mind and the body of the affected person. Symptoms generally appear between 30 and 50 years of age.  However they have appeared as young as 6 months [juvenile] and as late as 70 [late onset]. Each child of an affected parent has a 50% chance of inheriting the gene.
